Europe Scholarship WÜRZBURG

With the aim of fostering the European idea of student exchange, the University of Würzburg, together with the University of Applied Sciences Würzburg, and the University of Music Würzburg are offering Europe Scholarships to students of European Union countries.

In the 2014/2015 Winter Semester, currently 12 Europe Scholarships in the sum of 7,000 EUR each, will be awarded to students who study abroad for two semesters - depending on the subject and scholarship - at either the University of Würzburg, the University of Applied Sciences Würzburg, or the University of Music Würzburg.

The Europe Scholarship was initiated by former mayor of Würzburg and his wife, Mr. and Mrs. Rosenthal, for the university city of Würzburg.

The scholarship program has earned the sponsorship of distinguished figures, such as Professor Peter Bofinger of the German Council for Economic Experts, and world swimming champion, Thomas Lurz. The program is also under the auspices of French Ambassador, Monsieur Gourdault-Montagne.

Scholarship Holders as Ambassadors

Scholarship recipients act as ambassadors for their home country, actively take part in specified events, and suggest creative ideas for cultural exchange. The European Idea will be diversely enriched through this program and fostered through the cultural and academic exchange of students who are passionate about Europe. These student ambassadors play an important role in cultivating Europe's future for generations to come.
